the playground Skinners Playground was built by reusing shipping containers for the main structures and materials recovered and recycled to the finishes and details.
The reuse of components and materials reassembled has characterized the entire building, for example by cutting portions of the containers which were then reused in the railings of the stairs or adding windows, flooring and sports for shade, made from materials saved from landfill and recovered. An approach that aims to make best use of life cycle of materials and components, reducing waste production. A space created from materials and components second life that suggests an interesting variation of the reuse of containers, with spaces and passages divided between the inside and the outside world, stimulating toys for children, dance, study and social interaction.
